This policy explains what Fresh Coat Web Co. does with information from freshcoatwebco.com. We're in Clear Lake, Iowa.
What we collect
What you send us. When you fill out our site check form, we get your name, business name, website, phone or email, and anything you write in the message box. If you call, text or email us, we get what you send and your contact details.
Basic visit information. Like most websites, our server and security services automatically record things like your IP address, browser type and the pages you asked for. We use this to keep the site running and safe.
Public business information. We may look up publicly listed information about local businesses, such as a business's website, phone number or email, to find businesses we may be able to help and reach out to them.
Cookies and tracking
Our public website doesn't use cookies, analytics or advertising trackers. We don't track you across other websites, so we don't need to respond to "Do Not Track" browser signals.
How we use it
- To reply to you and do your free site check
- To prepare proposals and work with you if you become a client
- To keep our own records of who we've talked to and what was said
- To keep our website and systems safe, and to stop spam
If you give us your phone number, we may call or text you about your request. We won't sign you up for marketing texts. If you ask us to stop calling or texting you, we will.
Who we share it with
We don't sell your information. We also don't use it for any other business.
We share it only with:
- Companies that help us run this business, such as our website hosting, security, email and backup providers. They handle it so we can run our services.
- Anyone the law requires us to give it to, such as under a court order, or when needed to protect our rights or someone's safety.
- A new owner, if the business is ever sold or reorganized.
Information we handle for clients
When we run hosting or an office system for a client, what their customers send through it is the client's data, and the client's own privacy policy covers it. We use it only to run the service for that client. We don't sell it or use it for anything else. If we learn someone got into it without permission, we tell the client right away.
How long we keep it
We keep your information as long as it's useful for working with you, and as long as we need it for taxes, disputes or our own records.
Your choices
You can ask us what we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to stop contacting you. You can also ask us to delete it. We'll remove what we reasonably can, but we may keep some records for taxes, disputes or to make sure we don't contact you again. Copies in backups age out on their own, usually within 45 days.

How we protect it
We use reasonable care, including private sign-ins for our records and encrypted connections on our website. No website or email system is perfectly secure, so please don't send us passwords, card numbers or other sensitive information through the form.
Where it's stored
Our main server is in the United States. Some of the companies that help us may handle information in other places.
Children
Our services are for businesses. Our site isn't meant for children under 13, and we don't knowingly collect their information. If you think a child has sent us information, tell us and we'll remove it.
Other websites
Our site links to other websites. Their privacy practices are their own. Sites we build for clients have their own privacy policies.
Changes
If we change this policy, we'll post the new version here with a new effective date.
